There is a natural inimicalness between interest and exterest, wherever they exist together, for normal people in only the median, bounded by inner and outer membranes, for the mentally ill throughout the sphere of interest, bounded on the outside by the outer membrane and having no inner membrane at all. This inimicalness produces a struggle, whether normal or ill, and this struggle takes effort to sustain. In normal people where the mixture occurs only in the median there is less volume where this happens and thus less effort involved in sustaining it. In ill people where the mixture is throughout the sphere, there is more volume where this happens and thus more effort involved in sustaining it. The accomplishments of the mentally ill therefore are won at great effort, compared to the case of normal people, and the result of this is that the whole lot of devices, from large to small, developed by the ill person to accomplish what he can are odious to the normal population because of this extra effort characteristic of the devices. The normal people can't sustain such effort. They're not endowed for it. It doesn't appeal to their aesthetics nor to their pragmatism, both being concepts way down the list on the mentally ill person's priorities because these are concepts developed by and for normal people.
Well, i suppose i should be discouraged, but i always turn to the global financial crisis as proof of the merit of my ways, though they certainly have neither aesthetic nor pragmatic appeal. The resources of the normal people are proven to reduce to less merit than mine, a single mentally ill person.

essential atom particle and wave
This theory of mental illness of mine is a work in physics. The essential atom I refer to has properties of both a particle and a standing wave. It is localized in residence at the center of the sphere of interest, and it is also spread out throughout the universe of all spheres of interest. this dual nature is in line with the essential atom being an elementary particle or particles.

terest, the undifferentiated potential for interest or exterest
A sphere of interest is a representation of a function of information, rather than a representation of information itself. The information which is the argument of the function certainly has a distribution which itself is a function of physical space--two memory locations in a computer have different locations in space and both contain specific information--but this information is not modeled by the picture I have given of interest and exterest, nor is its distribution in space. the persons who populate, so to speak, each sphere of interest, produce the effect of a setting off of a region of information as argument which does stimulate interest, and a region of information which does not, relative to a motile atom of essence, as I am somewhat archaically calling it, of any particular person. suffice it to say that information produces an extensiveness which produces this effect, irrespective of its nature in any other sense.
We have used the term "omniterest" to refer to the union of the region of interest with the region of exterest. It is dependent for its significance on the reduction of references to one center of a sphere of interest at a time. Omniterest may effectively summon up as its referent all of the space we are discussing, but it does so with the necessary division of that space into interest and exterest, and therefore it assumes one or another center of a sphere of interest is invoked to give that division meaning. We will refer to the space which holds this omniterest as terest, the undifferentiated potential for interest or exterest.

variation of size of boundary between exterest and interest, and the interspherical region
It is hard to avoid the conviction that the size of the sphere of interest varies greatly from person to person. We can conclude this for one thing because the details which constitute the interest aspect of a person certainly grow in number from birth to the prime of life, so from that standpoint alone people have different sizes of the sphere of interest just as people have different ages. but more than this, some people, for one reason or another, tend to accumulate details capable of interesting others at a great rate while others do so at a slight rate, thus adding to the variability of the size of people's spheres of interest.
It is inherent in the picture of the sphere separating exterest from interest that it separates the phenomena of on the one hand, experiencing details as interesting, and on the other, experiencing them as not interesting. Same details. different response. Essentially, we ignore the interest of the person himself in the details of himself. That is really just another form of detail, and as such it has a place somewhere in the sphere. the picture is of the dynamic of the movement of peoples' interest here and there, and the effect of this interpretation is that each person has an atomlike essence whose location relative to these spheres of interest of everyone represents what he is interested in at any given moment. It is exactly as if within the sphere of interest is generated a motile body of dimensions much smaller than the sphere, which can travel anywhere. It can travel inside one's own sphere, into the space outside its own sphere where it has some relation to other spheres, and can make a decision to enter someone else's sphere. When this essense atom is in the space between spheres it must prevent itself from entering where it might be unwelcome, and it must analyze spheres for their potential interesting nature, all done with a much less dense flux of information than when it is inside some one or other sphere.
This is quite a lot and we will take a pause.
